Dennis is a Laramie, Wyoming native. He and his wife Margi, have three children, Jennifer, Craig and Scott. Dennis served as a United States Air Force pilot from 1972 to 1979 and then served with the Wyoming Air National Guard as a pilot until 1993. Dennis obtained his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Wyoming.  He has been a law clerk for the Wyoming Supreme Court and a Senior Assistant Attorney General for Wyoming.  Dennis has appeared in courts at all levels including two appearances before the United States Supreme Court. Dennis is also admitted to practice in the State of Colorado.

Dennis is a member of the American Bar Association.  He is a graduate of the Global Center for Wealth Strategies Planning Masters Program and is now a Fellow of Esperti Peterson Institute.  Dennis is an active member of the wealth counsel, a nationwide organization of trust and estate planning attorneys devoted to client centered planning. Today, estate planning, business planning, business succession planning, Medicaid planning, retirement planning, wealth planning and trust administration constitute over ninety percent of the firm’s services.  Dennis is also a principal of Wealth Design Consulting, LLC.  Through Wealth Design Consulting, LLC, Dennis can work in collaboration with legal and non-legal experts in their respective estate planning fields to provide a more complete range of financial planning services.
