Matt grew up in northeast Nevada, however, being that his ancestors settled in the Big Horn Basin back in the 1890’s, moving to Wyoming for Law School was somewhat like coming home! Prior to attending Law School in Laramie, he earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at BYU in Idaho.

While attending the University of Wyoming he enrolled in a joint degree program and graduated with a Master of Business Administration in addition to his law degree.

When Matt is not at the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Tiffany, and 4 kids. Some of their favorite activities include camping, hiking, hunting, and archery.

Matt began working at Cook & Associates as an intern in 2022 and joined the firm full-time in March of 2025 after graduating Law School and passing the bar.

He enjoys helping clients plan for the future and navigate the estate administration process after family and friends pass away.
